My goodness...it's awfully quiet. Did everyone disappear completely while I was off taking care of an insanely overactive baby?

I..does anyone know how Blaise is?

I don't even...really know what to say about the hardships everyone is going through right now. I hope things get better for everyone...things seem so tense lately. :(

In other news, I cannot WAIT to have this baby. And it's not even because I'm tired of carrying all this extra weight (I am, though), I just want to hurry and meet him. It's like he'll never get here.

Seamus, I will probably have to spend the night here in the castle tonight. I have a problem student, Wade, that can't seem to grasp even the simplest of Arithmancy work. He used to be rather good at it, according to what Professor Vector told me when I took this on, but this year he's been not concentrating and...oh, you don't care about all this. My main point is that we'll be working well into the night, and I'll probably just stay in one of the rooms here, to save a trip and save energy.

This and that.

I get the feeling Professor Snape doesn't like me. Well, let me rephrase that--I get the feeling that he doesn't want me teaching here. I really couldn't care less if he likes me or not, but he's actively going to the other professors to talk about how I am not mature enough or learned enough to be teaching the students. He isn't even bothering to hide it, I caught him with Professor Sprout this morning. She assured me that he was just in a foul temper (when is he NOT in a foul temper, I ask you), but I certainly do not like being disparaged behind my back OR in front of it. I would feel absolutely silly complaining to the Headmistress, but I believe it has gone far enough, he is spewing absolute rubbish. Not mature enough? He was the same age as I when he became Potions Master, and I can assure anyone who asks that I am learned enough.

Well, onto a more pleasant subject, it appears my brother-in-law is going to be married. Mrs Finnigan has owled us all about it, and I believe Seamus is to be the best man. Mrs Finnigan doesn't seem very optimistic that it'll actually take place, but maybe Pat has really matured...

I am actually starting to look forward to the reunion coming up at Hogwarts.

Seamus, don't forget our appointment at the Healer tomorrow morning.

I could just strangle Professor McGonagall. She volunteered me to be on the committee for the school's Halloween Ball, as if I don't have more important things to be getting on with, and more important things to stress over than some stupid Ball where the students will no doubt get up to no good and sneak behind bushes and pour liquor into the punches and not even appreciate the effort that I and the rest of the committee put into such a function.

What's with Hogwarts and its excess of frivolous Balls and events, anyway? I thought I was coming here to teach, not to play chaperone and watch the students eat, drink and be merry. I got enough of that at the Opening Feast, I don't need it during the bloody school year. These students are spoilt children who care more about what they'll come dressed as than cracking schoolbooks and learning, which is the ENTIRE REASON for their being here! Why do I bother, why do ANY of us bother?! I may as well just come to classes and put my feet on the desk and let the students pass notes and talk to each other, they aren't learning anyway!!

I just wanted to say that I apologise for my behaviour yesterday. I let the stress that I am under get the best of me, and I shouldn't have. I acted quite unlike myself, but I assure you, I've not gone mad.

I'm sorry, Blaise and Seamus.

A very large owl just swooped in through the front door when I opened it and dropped a package as large as me onto the floor.

Might you have any idea what it is, Mr Finnigan?

I'm sorry, love, but I am going to be late coming home. After today's lessons are over, I am going to have to go to St Mungos for a bit, I've been feeling under the weather for a couple of days and I want to see if there's something to be done so I don't nearly fall asleep in my classes.

Happy birthday to Mr Seamus Aedan Finnigan, the loveliest man in the world. :D

Mr and Mrs Finnigan finally left several days ago, and not a moment too soon, as I really think Seamus would've said something entirely too rude to them had they stayed any longer than they did. Even with them constantly underfoot, it was nice to have someone helping around the house for a bit.

Ginny, I've been reading all the articles and features on you in the papers! It's really quite remarkable how things have been going for you, congratulations on going Pro! :)

Harry, Ron, are either of you going to be attending the reading of Dumbledore's will on Saturday? Professor McGonagall told me when I went to move some of my things into my office that I was listed as a beneficiary, though I can't imagine...

Seamus and I have got our house mostly situated now. The rooms are all painted and the furniture is all moved in and curtains all hung..it's so nice, and OURS. The only objection I have is the small gold Quidditch hoops Seamus insisted on putting on the terrace outside of the study, but since it's such a small objection, I will let it slide. ;) Besides, Crookshanks has taken a liking to them.

Only a few more days until I go back to Hogwarts! Wish me luck. :)

It's just so wonderful to have Mr and Mrs Finnigan here. I don't know that I ever want them to leave!

We won our bid! We'll be moving to our new house soon. I'm very excited. There are two extra rooms, and I fully intend to turn one into a study/office. I hope there will actually be room for all of my books. I have to buy two more bookcases just to hold the ones I have in storage.

In other news, I had to turn my book list and syllabus to Professor Dumbledore by last Friday. I've not heard back yet, so I am taking that as a good sign. I am changing the standard Arithmancy text, I found another book that is much more in depth and easier to teach! Hopefully it will go over well.  I cannot wait to get started.

my love, my favorite picture
I think it is safe for me to say that I am married to the most wonderful man on the entire planet (sorry, Ron and Harry).

That he could just...and trying to protect me...he's just amazing.

Why did you leave so suddenly? I'm really sorry, love, that I mentioned your aunts, but you didn't have to leave like that. I told you, I won't mention family again at a time like that, because it obviously affects you negatively.

Surely you can let someone else in the office handle it tonight, can't you? Do you really have to work?

I just want to go on record as saying that Harry and Ginny have two of the most adorable babies ever.

Seamus would probably agree if Andrew would stop throwing up on him.

Do you really have to have them back, Ginny? They're so darling and I want to keep them. :)

Ginny, can we postpone the lunch we were to have tomorrow? I've got to go to Hogwarts and discuss some things with Professor Dumbledore. How about Friday instead?

I already have meetings with four schools in the coming week for teaching positions. I am due to interview at a school in France (not Beauxbatons) and Hogwarts first. I am not holding out much hope for that one, though, even if Dumbledore seemed encouraging in our correspondance. Truthfully, I'm not sure I'd want to return there just yet anyway.

I want to hurry and have a job lined up so that I can enjoy my summer. I've books to read and some organising I've been putting off. And I have to unpack!

Blaise, I'm available any time for dinner. Let me know. :) Unless you don't need me anymore.
